An evening course for anyone who wants to get their bearings in the world of coffee. How does specialty coffee differ from commodity coffee? How does each variety taste? What is honey coffee and what is washed coffee? All these questions will be answered and you will be guided through the tasting and preparation by our main lecturer at the doubleshot coffee school, Nikola Divincová.

Who is the workshop for?

For anyone who wants to taste, compare and understand coffee qualities. The course requires no previous experience.

We will help you choose coffee for home, conveniently order in a café and know how to recognize quality.

What will you learn?

We will show you the basic technique of tasting coffee, called cupping. We will explain the differences in varieties, processing methods and roasting using various samples to make choosing coffee as easy as possible.

At the coffee machine, we will go through all the steps for preparing espresso at home and taste espresso from two different coffees. Then we will explain the differences between milk drinks and taste all of them, including those with alternative milk.

Finally, we will get acquainted with the basic recipe for filter coffee and its preparation.

Who will be your lecturer?

Our main lecturer at the doubleshot coffee school, Nikola Divincová, will guide you through the entire course. Nikola has been in the world of fine coffee for more than ten years. During that time, she has gained a wealth of experience not only behind the coffee machine, but also by visiting farms and participating in global coffee fairs. She is also well-versed in the world of competitions - whether as a competitor, judge or coach. Coffee and the community around it have always interested her as a whole, so you may also know her from panel discussions or as a moderator. In addition to leading our coffee school and fully utilizing her pedagogical roots, she also co-creates the doubleshot podcast with Ondřej.

Cancellation policy
If you cancel the training in writing email a week or more before the date (no later than the 8th day before the training), you can choose another date or we will refund your money. If you cancel the training in the last week before the training (1st - 7th day before the training), or if you do not attend the training at all, a 100% cancellation fee will be applied without compensation.
